Kicking off the TWM series in Ottawa and playing her first TWM show is Sabrina Fallah who came to us courtesy of the p
eople
as Music City North. Sabrina Fallah plays by herself but her songs
carry some serious punch as she combines pop with a punk edge as well.
The night will come out of the gate with serious energy.

Toronto has thousands of bands and hundreds of really good ones, Duck
Duck Goose is among the best. The band is made up of several musicians
who have been honing their craft and grinding it out in bands in Toronto
for years before finding Duck Duck Goose. They combine indie-pop,
indie-rock, math, prog and even hard rock at times in a beautiful and
poetic way fronted by Dylan Reisch who brings it all together in the way
only a born showman can.

Yield will be playing as a two piece, guitar and bass for this show.
Consider it a rock n roll palette cleanser before King Karoshi bring the
night home. I only found out about Yield a few days ago and since that
happened I find myself listening to their music obsessively. Such
excellent songwriting.

My new favourite Montreal band close out the night, King Karoshi! Much
like Toronto there is so much music going on in Montreal sometimes the
best stuff simmers just below the radar. King Karoshi may doing that
right now but won't be for much longer with brilliant songs like
"Laundry". Addictive catchy as all hell yet wildly creative indie-rock.
